Overview

Not Your Typical IT Consulting Company

It may sound like a cliché, but Newton Consulting is not your typical consulting company. In fact, Rick Newton, our President and Founder, is often quoted as describing our company as the "anti-consultant" consulting firm, because we reject the smooth-talking, profit-oriented, and growth-focused approach of other consulting companies.

First and foremost, Newton Consulting is customer-focused. We are in business to serve our customers and to implement their vision, not our own. We believe that revenue growth and profits come as a result of providing superior customer service, and are not worthy goals in and of themselves. Our rapid growth in the first four years of business, with just a handful of companies, has validated this simple yet powerful truth.

Second, Newton Consulting is guided by principles. Our mission, our vision, and our values are not just lip service - they drive everything we do and promote consistency in how we go to market, how we operate internally, and how we relate with clients, partners, and employees - with integrity, humility, and a service mentality.

Finally, Newton Consulting has a unique operating model. Our "pay for performance" compensation model enables us to maximally compensate and reward employees based on their direct contribution to clients and the company. This results in dramatically higher compensation when compared to other consulting firms.

Our clients benefit from this model, because we are able to attract and retain the top talent in the consulting industry - and offer their services at below market rates. Of course, this model squeezes profitability, but if you remember from the first point above, our goal is to serve our customers first and foremost, and we believe we've created an operating model that will enable us to do this - better than the competition.
